Bruce Wells

Director and Principal Solicitor

Bruce is a solicitor of the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Queensland. He is also a migration agent registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA).

Bruce Wells – Director and Principal Solicitor

Bruce has successfully represented clients with immigration cases in the High Court of Australia, the Federal Court and the Federal Circuit Court, and in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT).

Bruce was previously the Principal Solicitor of the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service (RAILS) – Queensland’s only community legal centre specialising in immigration law. He was also an Investigation Officer in the Office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman.

For many years Bruce has presented professional development courses to other solicitors and migration agents. Those courses were accredited by the Queensland Law Society and OMARA. He has worked with several Australian universities, developing courses and lecturing in refugee and immigration law, and providing clinical legal education to students.

Bruce is currently a convenor of Griffith University’s Graduate Diploma of Australian Migration Law and Practice. He also provides fee-free advice and assistance to vulnerable clients of RAILS.
